Remember When

Remember When
We were recently at a Conference where the first speaker stated he had a vision on the way in which Holy Spirit said “Remember When”. He said he understood this to be a ‘Word” from the Lord concerning the Conference. When he spoke the above, my mind instantly recalled a message we recently shared from Scripture which says “Let the redeemed of the Lord say so”, from which one can easily say it this way - “let the redeemed of the Lord tell their story”, (i.e. remembering when—-)
Remembering when, or recalling the experiences of the working of God in our lives brings hope, strength and faith into ones life today, because we know that Jesus Christ is the same, yesterday, today and forever, and that our God changes not.
Psalms 135 verses 13 and 14 say “Your name, O Lord is everlasting, Your remembrance, O Lord throughout all generations. For the Lord will judge His people and will have compassion on His servants.” We are a part of the “all generations” who are to remember Him.
Conference speakers spoke of the need to “keep moving forward” in our walk with the Lord. One spoke of the admonition of the Lord to “shift or squeeze through a narrow place” in order to move into the / our future (expected end) as a body of believers on the earth. He acknowledged the confusion and chaos we are faced with daily in our lives, stating the will of the Lord is to deliver His people from confusion and chaos. Meaning to me, that our expected end is the increase of His Government and of His Peace in our lives.
As I have pondered the Conference messages, I remembered the Apostle Paul’s writing in
1 Timothy 4:1 “But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons, 2 by means of the hypocrisy of liars seared in their own conscience as with a branding iron,” and realized we are in those times where many have fallen away, and many have bought the lies of deceitfulness arising from the kingdom of darkness. Certainly, far too many consciences seem to have be cauterized. We have those who should be morally and intelligently leading us saying we have to allow persons to choose which gender they want to be and seem to have missed the issue of a Creator who gave us a bathroom assignment at conception. That choice is not ours to make. It is the result of ignoring or not remembering the Truth of our Creator. Abortion is approached as a health issue, when indeed it is about the death of a child who has been given life at conception. In nearly every area of our lives, confusion and chaos seem to be arising. Fears and anxious thoughts fill the lives of far to many. As Isaiah prophesied, “good will be called evil, and evil will be called good”. Can we remember that the God of Creation does not tempt man with evil?

How long will we, the citizens of a Nation created by our founding Fathers to honor the God of all creation be continually led as sheep to the slaughter in this pathway which will surely lead even our Nation towards destruction? When will enough of us make a noise first in our Appeals to Heaven, and then to those who are assigned as leaders, and who have taken an oath to

honor our Constitution. Rights granted us by our Creator do not change. Truth does not evolve. Truth is forever truth. The Word of God is an Eternal Truth.
Can we who are part of the family of God on earth begin again to remember when God delivered His people in spite of overwhelming odds against them? Can we remember when the Lord told His people that if they obeyed His Word they would be provided for and protected, and that if they did not obey, their sin would ultimately lead to their death, and even the destruction of their land through adverse weather events causing famine and desolation, even leading to their enslavement by other nations.
Can we remember how He split the Red Sea and the Jordan? Can we remember how Moses tapped a rock and millions of gallons of water came from it in the desert? Can we remember how the Spirit of Might came on Elijah and he outran the Kings horses? Can we remember the miracles of Christ Jesus revealed in the Gospels? Can we remember the Acts of the Apostles recorded in the New Testament? Can we remember the experiences of the Lord in our own lives? Can we “tell our stories” to one another and to a people who have fallen away, or payed attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons? Can we ourselves squeeze through a narrow place in these troubling times of confusion and chaos to reach our expected end? If we choose to believe, “Yes, we can” according the Word of God.
As we “remember when” the Lord acted, we build real hope. Hope becomes a substance for ones faith to remain strong. If we hope for change, it should be that we behold our King (Jesus), and are changed from glory to glory. Our changes should be from grace to grace. Hebrews 2:1 says “For this reason we must pay much closer attention to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away from it”
My appeal is to Heaven, and to each of us to “remember when” our unchanging God released Himself into the lives of humanity to reveal who He really is and how He really does provide for and protect any who choose to believe and obey Him. May we each pay close attention to what we learned about the Lord from His Word. It is not hard, but does require a firm commitment to know the Truth which makes us free from the wages of sin - first personally, and then increasingly for our land. If you make the commitment, you will surely find His Grace is sufficient.
May the blessings of our Lord abound in your life today in Jesus name.
